Crystal Skull Part 1 – Story Level 1: Hangar Havoc

LEVEL ENTRANCE: The entrance to this level is at the railroad crossing. Get the banana from the mailbox near Barnett College and throw the banana to the monkey, which will give you a gold key in exchange. Use the key to raise the barrier at the railroad crossing. In this level you control Indiana Jones and Mac. Smash the various boxes and other objects and collect the studs that pop out. Then pick up the one small, unbreakable crate and place it on the green LEGO plate near the wall of wooden crates. Use it to climb up onto that wall.

If you like, you can use whip swing across the 2 dangling light fixtures on the left to get more studs. To do this, stand on top of the crates facing left and hold the Attack button. After a moment, an orange targeting reticule will appear. Using direction keys, right analog stick or Wii remote to aim, target the nearest light fixture. Then release the Attack button and Indy will use his whip to catch the light and swing out. Use direction keys or left stick to swing back and forth. As Indy swings to the left, press Jump then quickly press Attack again to whip the second lamp. While hanging there, climb up the whip to get the studs above. Then slide about halfway down and jump onto the stack of boxes in the background. Grab all the studs and then hop down and climb back up the crates on the right.
Cross over the wall of crates and drop down on the other side. Smash the various boxes for studs. Then climb the ladder on the left to get back onto the crates. Whip swing over to the top of the next wall of crates on the right.
Push the green bin to the left along the checkerboard floor to dump its contents on the floor. Press the Free Tag button to switch to Mac. Have him use the loose LEGO bits to build a ladder so he can climb onto the wall.

Drop down into the next open area on the right. If you're not in a hurry, take a moment to break the cage next to the fan on the floor on the right. Have one character step onto the fan and the other stand on the button to activate the fan. (If you're playing alone, just step onto the fan and the other character should automatically use the button.) Ride the updraft from the fan to the top of the crates to collect a load of valuable studs.

Smash the 2 Large tan crates—one on the left, one in the back right corner. Inside each crate you'll find a box of LEGO bits. Place these on each of the green plates. Break open the tall crate between the two green plates. Then use the 2 piles of bits to complete the robot inside.
Use Mac to shoot the bulls-eye target to open the box to the right of the robot. Target shooting works the same as whip swinging: Hold the Attack button, aim and release the button to fire.
Now have each character grab a Staff of Ra from inside the box and stand on one of the spotlights on the floor near the robot. Turn each character so the beam of light refracted through the staves shine on the robot. This activates it and it smashes into the wall of crates on the right, setting off the crates of explosives and leaving a large pile of bits behind.
Pick up the water bottles sitting on the floor. Toss these onto the burning crates (Aim and throw just as you aim the whip or gun.) Repeat until all the flames have been extinguished. Then use the heap of leftover robot parts to build a step so you can climb up and over the wall.
Now you'll need to use Mac again to shoot the target in front of the scaffolding with the green box. This opens the tan crate just to the right, which contains spears. Have each character grab one and throw them at the sockets on the tall stack of crates to the left of the scaffolding. The sockets are gray with orange triangular brackets above and below. (To switch between spear, staff and gun/whip, just tap the Use button.) Once you've thrown 3 spears into the wall, you'll be able to climb the spear shafts to reach the top of the scaffolding on the right.
Push the green box to the edge of the checkerboard floor. When it reaches the edge, it tips and spills out a bunch of metal bits, which then go flying toward one of the crates in the big pile on the right.
Hop down, break up the various LEGO boxes and crates for studs. Then climb onto the wooden crates where the metal bits wound up. Swing across the dangling chains to reach the top of the crates on the far right. If you're having trouble with this, either swing back and forth on each chain and jump as it swings to the right, or climb to the top of each chain before jumping to the next one.

After the cut scene, in which Agent Spalko discovers the remains of the Interdimensional Being and Mac double-crosses Indy, you control Indy and the Janitor, who are being attacked by the level Boss: Colonel Dovchenko.
Watch out for Dovchenko's grenades as you finish up this next section. Run to the Army Jeep on the left and press Free Tag to hop in. Drive the Jeep onto one of the big orange buttons on the right. Move forward, left and right with the direction buttons or left control stick. Press Use to reverse. When the vehicle is positioned squarely over the button, it turns green. Press Free Tag again to jump out of the Jeep.
Run behind the large crate on the right. Climb the smaller crates to get on top of the big one. Then have each character stand on one of the little red buttons on top of the crate to open it. Inside you'll find a Tricycle. Drive it onto the other large orange button. Depressing both buttons opens the door on the right wall. Go in and pull the lever to lower a ladder from the catwalk to the stack of crates.
Now run back to the left and climb onto the crates where Dovchenko is standing. Pursue him across the dangling chains to the right and then climb the ladder you just extended to reach the catwalk. Follow the catwalk to the left, jumping across the gaps, until you reach the colonel. When he jumps down, follow him to trigger the next cut scene.

Area 2: Rocket Sled Control Room

Indy, the Janitor and Dovchenko crash through the floor into the control room below.
Before taking on the colonel, run around the room smashing everything in sight. If you've been thorough and haven't died too often, you should be able to collect enough studs to achieve True Adventurer. If not, don't worry. Just replay the level later on and try again.
As you explore, watch out for Dovchenko's chain whip. He'll try and tie up your characters. If you're playing a solo game and he entangles one character, just switch to the other and keep collecting studs. Otherwise, press Jump to bounce up and down a few times and break free.
Now focus on the colonel. Notice the three hearts below his portrait at the top center of the screen. These indicate his remaining health. Use Indy's whip to grab him and pull him off the rocket. Press Use to detach the whip, leaving him tied up. Then run to the red buttons in the back right corner. Stand one character on each button to ignite the rocket as it spins around, burning the colonel and taking away one of his hearts. (If you're playing solo, just position Indy on one button and the Janitor should step on the other automatically.)
The flames also burn away the whip, freeing the colonel so he can jump back onto the rocket. Use the Indy's whip to drag him down once more and step on the buttons again to burn him. Repeat once more to finish him off and end the level.

When you finish this level, you'll unlock the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Creator playsets. You can then choose to continue the story or return to the Warehouse to access these new playsets.
If you decide to continue, Indy and the Janitor return to the hub at the entrance to the Doom Town area. The gate behind you is locked for now, so proceed along the street and enter the house with the green arrow in front of it to start the next level.
