Parcel/Extra: Super Slap (25,000 studs)

Keep your eyes open during the cut scene set in Indy's classroom. You'll notice a cryptic code on the chalkboard. This is the cheat for the "Super Slap" Extra, which is normally only available after finding the Parcel in this level. If you enter the code, 0P1TA5, (that's a zero not the letter O) on the chalkboard in the Classroom at Barnett College, you can unlock this Extra early.

Area 1: Marion's Tavern

The level begins inside Marion's tavern in Nepal. As long as you don't open the door on the left, no enemies will appear to bother you as you explore.

Begin by moving to the right side of the room. Have Indy grab the dangling rope to the left of the fireplace. This tips the cauldron above the fire, revealing artifact piece #1. Switch to Marion and grab the other rope, which is too high for Indy to reach. This lowers the grating in front of the fireplace so you can get the treasure chest.

Now move to the left side of the room. As Marion, jump to grab the ladder and pull it down, knocking a golden key to the floor. You can pick up the key, but don't use it just yet.

Climb the ladder and cross the balcony to the right side. Smash the crates and use the LEGO bits to build a lever. Pull it to raise the dumb waiter down below, sending some barrels crashing into the storage alcove behind the bar. Enter this little alcove to get artifact piece #2.

Return to the left side of the room and use the gold key to operate the mechanism that opens the door and lets in the enemies.

You'll need to fight off the Sherpa brawlers as they appear, but concentrate on the Boss: Major Toht. You will not be able to move on until you defeat him. The four hearts below his picture in the middle of the screen show his health. Each time you injure him, one of those hearts fades. You'll need to hit him four times to beat him.

All the loose objects lying around—chairs, bottles, etc.—are perfect for smashing over enemies' heads. To do this press the Use button to pick up or whip-grab an object. Then face an enemy so the blue targeting reticules appear around him and press Use again to throw the object at the enemy.

This strategy is essential for fighting Major Toht, since whenever you get close enough to punch or whip him, he runs out the back door. When this happens, grab a chair or bottle, move toward the other rear door—there's one on each side of the bar—and wait for him to come back in. When he does, throw the object at him. He'll run outside again, but this gives you time to deal with any leftover Sherpas, grab another projectile and move to the other door. Repeat this process until all of Toht's hearts are gone and he flees.

Now you need to fight another Boss: The Sherpa Gunner. The strategy is basically the same. You can't reach him behind the burning bar. So pick up objects and throw them at him. When three of his hearts are gone, he'll leap out from behind the bar and you can finish him off.

Major Toht returns, this time armed with a pistol. Throw objects at him, just as you did before, or punch him if you get a chance. This time you only need to hit him three times to finish him off.

Area 2: Nepalese Village

Sherpa brawlers respawn from the alley to the left of Marion's place as long as you remain in this area. So only linger as long as you have to. If you like, you can use Indy's whip to steal the enemies' guns, or you can pick up the weapons they drop after you smash them.

In the same alley where the Sherpas appear there's a wood pile. Smash it and then rebuild the pieces into a snowman (1/3). This is the first of several that will enable you to obtain artifact piece #5.

PARCEL: When replaying the level in Free Play mode, use a character with the enemy disguise ability to enter the house on the left. To do this, change to that character, stand in front of the panel with the soldier's picture and press Use to knock. The guard will peek out, look your character over, and if he is dressed correctly, open the door.

Enter and climb the ladder on the right to find a box of LEGO bits. Drop it on the green plate and use the parts to build a pulley up above. Have one character jump up to grab the dangling rope on the left. Then stand Indy on the wooden pallet and whip the pulley. When both characters pull, the flue opens and Santa Claus comes down the chimney. He runs outside, leaving a trail of studs and hearts in his wake.

Follow him outside to find the parcel on the wooden sidewalk just to the right. Pick it up and carry it to the mailbox, which has appeared in front of Marion's place.

Later, when you return to Barnett College, go to the Mail Room and pay the postage due to claim your parcel. This particular package unlocks the "Super Slap" Extra for 25,000 studs. (See Parcels & Extras for more info.)

FREE PLAY: Locate the sparkling object in the ground next to the reindeer pen. Switch to a character with the excavation ability and dig up various piles of LEGO bits. Use them to build a snowmobile. When you do this, a series of barriers appears along the street to the right. Get on the snowmobile and drive through all of the barriers to make artifact piece #3 appear.

Now approach the building to the right of Marion's place. Switch to a character with explosives and blow up the door with silver bars across it. Go inside to find artifact piece #4.

Continue to the right until you come to a small cave barricaded with silver bars. Grab the torch from the sconce to the left and use it to light the dynamite. Get out of the way before it explodes.

More Sherpas appear from the left. Fight them and then go into the small cave to find 2 piles of LEGO bits. Use one pile to build a snowman (2/3) and the other to construct a white pallet.

Carry the pallet to the right and place it on the green plate. Smash the toolbox just to the left to get a wrench and use this to repair the broken engine. When it's working again, the lift with the white platform goes up and down as it should. Ride it upward and jump to grab the railing above.

Climb to the right above the huge chasm and drop down on the other side. Use Indy to whip swing across the next gap. Fight another group of Sherpas and then use the pile of LEGO bits at the end of the checkered floor to rebuild the bridge. Push it to the left so Marion can cross.

Have her grab a torch from one of the sconces on the rear wall before she crosses the bridge and use it to light the crates of dynamite on the ground to the left of the ledge with the checkerboard floor. Use the LEGO bits left behind to build another snowman (3/3). If you've built all three, artifact piece #5 appears nearby.

Have Marion jump up onto the high ledge with the checkerboard floor. Push the barrel of dynamite to the right then off the ledge. Use the pieces to assemble a working bundle of dynamite. Return to the left side of the chasm, grab another torch and carry it back across the bridge. Use it to ignite the dynamite and quickly get out of the way before it explodes, destroying the silver bars blocking the exit.

Area 3: Icy Canyon

FREE PLAY: Smash the blocky, white snow banks near the start to reveal a crawlspace. Switch to a small-sized character and crawl through to emerge on a ledge high above. Toggle to Indiana Jones and whip swing across the gap to get artifact piece #6. Hop back down to the path below.

Continue to the right and whip swing across the chasm. Smash the barrel on the other side and use the leftover LEGO bits to build a railing so Marion can get across. Switch to Marion and jump up into the alcove with the crank. Use it to open the big doors on the nearby building.

Smash the gray-and-white bull statue to the right of the staircase. Use the bits left behind to build a handrail so you can climb up into the alcove inside the building. Push the statue along the checkerboard floor until it crashes down and breaks. Use the leftover bricks to build a white pallet, like the one you made earlier.

Doing this triggers the appearance of more Sherpas. Deal with them and then carry the white pallet to the right and place it on the green plate. Smash the bull statue on the left side of the staircase to get a wrench. Use it to repair the broken engine so the lift will work. Ride it upward and jump to the ledge on the right.

Watch out for falling debris as you jump across the gaps in the path. Use the handrails to climb across the wide pit. There are some studs down below, along with a few goodies you can only get in Free Play mode. When you're through here, proceed to the right rim of the pit and go through the doorway to the next area.

FREE PLAY & SECRET CHARACTER: Climb down the rope to the bottom of the pit. Using a female character, jump to grab the handrail on the right and pull up near artifact piece #7. Use a character with explosives or glass-breaking ability to smash the block of ice surrounding the treasure chest.

Luke Skywalker is trapped behind the wall of ice. Use an explosion or a glass-breaking character to destroy the wall and free him. Luke is one of five hidden Star Wars characters that will enable you to unlock Han Solo as a playable character. For more info, see the Characters page.

Area 4: Cavern with Temple

Head toward the back of this area and smash the decorative panels with the red and orange triangles. The one on the left yields a shovel. Use this to dig up a golden key just to the right.

Insert the key in the crank near the stairs where you came in, and turn the crank to lower a rope nearby. Before climbing the rope, go to the stairs on the right and push the huge statue to the left along the checkerboard floor.

Now have one character climb the rope and make his or her way across the handholds and ledges to the back left corner of the cavern. From there, jump onto the platform on top of the statue. Switch to the other character and push the huge statue, with the first character on top of it, over to the right. In a single-player game, the first character will then automatically jump over to the ledge with the orange pad on the right.

Switch to the character on the ledge and use the pile of LEGO bits to build a rope so the other character can climb up. When both characters stand on the orange pad, a handrail drops from above, enabling you to climb around the huge, square column to the other side and drop onto the round ledge. From there, jump to the dangling rope and drop down near the exit.

Before going up the stairs, grab one of the torches flanking the exit. Then continue through to the next area.

FREE PLAY: Before leaving this area, switch to a character with the academic ability to solve the hieroglyph puzzle beside the doorway. Artifact piece #8 appears above, along with a set of handrails you can climb to reach it.

Area 5: Chasm with Wooden Bridge

Carry the torch you brought from the previous area all the way down the street to the right. (You can go back to the previous area to get another torch if you forgot or dropped it.) Just before the wooden pallet at the edge of the chasm, is a golden brazier flanked by tall columns with bull statues on top. Walk up the steps with the torch to light the brazier. This causes artifact piece #9 to appear.

Next, if you're going after all available studs, stand Indy on the whip platform and use the whip to topple the column with the bull statue. When it lands, it forms a ramp that lets you reach the handrail on the canyon wall. Climb around the corner to the right and drop onto the ledge. Then jump across to the next ledge, where you'll find a bunch of studs including a purple stud (worth 10,000!). Climb back the way you came.

Hop on the reindeer's back and ride it onto the orange pad next to the building in the middle of the street. This causes the lift to begin moving up and down.

If you don't already have a wrench from the previous area, smash the wooden tub near the corner of the building, just to the left of the lift, to get one. Then ride the lift upward and jump onto the roof. Ignore the bazooka lying on the ledge for now. Instead go around to the left and drop down into the courtyard. Use the wrench to repair the broken engine and open the gates.

Exit through either gate and go left. Near the wooden wall of the next building is a box of LEGO bits. Smash it and pick up the piece that remains. Carry it into the courtyard and place it on the green plate to make artifact piece #10 appear.

Now, either climb the ladder in the courtyard or ride the lift back up to the roof to get the bazooka. Hop down and use the bazooka to blow up the silver crate near the wooden bridge spanning the chasm. Assemble the remaining parts into a spinner. Push the green side of the spinner to raise a small platform near the bridge. On the platform there's a white box containing another bazooka.

When you do this, a squad of enemy soldiers swarms out of the truck on the other side of the bridge. They continue to respawn until you destroy the truck. So grab that second bazooka if you need it and shoot the truck. You'll need to hit it several times to destroy all its parts. If you run out of rockets, you can get another bazooka from the white box.

Destroying the truck also blows open the gate behind it. When you've got all the studs you need, go through to end the level.
