LEVEL ENTRANCE: After the 3rd Story Level, the boulder that was blocking the entrance to the cave below the palace is gone. Step inside to begin the next level. (See the Hub Maps and Story Level Intro if you need screenshots.)

Thuggee Ceremonial Chamber

The goal of this level is to release the Maharajah from Mola Ram's control. You can't attack the Maharajah directly, though. So instead you must get to him another way.

Run to the far right side of the room. While Willie and Short Round fend off the Thuggees, have Indy climb the ladder onto the ledge and use his whip to grab the orange ring hanging from the ceiling. Climb the whip to get the hovering studs. Then double jump to reach the ledge in the back right corner. Pick up the blue gear (1/3) leaning in the corner, hop down off the ledge and attach the gear to the machine on the floor nearby.

If you're going for "True Adventurer" take a moment to smash the LEGO brick wall in the right corner. Enter the alcove and pick up the blue and purple studs tucked away in both corners. Smash the 3 skeletons on pedestals against the right wall for more studs if you like.

Have Indy climb the ladder on the right side of the room.		Grab the orange ring with Indy's whip.
Climb up for the studs and then double jump to land on the corner ledge.		Take the blue gear and attach it to the machine down below.
Smash the LEGO brick wall in the corner. . .		. . . and gather the studs in the alcove.

Now head to the left side of the room. Be careful not to fall into the lava pool as you smash the 2 large crates near the edge of the floor. Use the leftover bits to build a winch, which then automatically hauls a skeleton gripping a treasure chest out of the lava. Smash the chest to get more studs. There are also 3 more skeletons on pedestals along the left wall, plus various small jars in the left corner that you can wreck for more studs.

When you're ready to move on, switch to Willie and climb the ladder on the left to reach the ledge above. Jump to grab the handrail mounted on the wall above, climb across and drop down on the corner ledge. Push the chest along the checkerboard tiles and off the edge. Use the leftover bits to build a ladder so the other characters can climb up.

Have Short Round crawl through the hatch into the alcove on the back wall. Indy should then climb the ladder and stand on the blue-and-silver platform in front of the barred alcove. (If you're playing alone, he and Willie will do this automatically.) Have Short Round turn the mechanism to move the platform across the gap so Indy can hop onto the L-shaped ledge on the right. If possible, try to turn the crank as the flames below the platform go out, so Indy doesn't get toasted.

When you reach this ledge, the ladder extends automatically, which is handy in case you fall and need to climb back up. Use Indy's whip to yank the orange rings, extending 2 small ledges. Use these to jump across to the ledge where the Maharajah is standing. The little king leaps down to the floor and in the process knocks down a cage, releasing a golden key. Then he goes through a doorway in the background to emerge on a platform above the gear mechanism on the right side of the room.

Have Willie climb the ladder on the far left.		Climb across the handrail to the corner ledge.
Push the chest off the edge.		Then use the bits to build another ladder.
Short Round can then climb up and go through the hatch.		Then turn the mechanism in the alcove to move Indy and Willie across the gap.
Use Indy's whip to pull the orange rings to extend a pair of ledges.		Hop across to the ledge with the Maharajah, who flees, dropping a gold key.
The Maharajah re-emerges here on the right side of the room.

At this point, more Thuggees will attack, and Thuggee acolytes (the ones wearing white shirts) will start to emerge from the doorways in the background. You'll need to fight them as you continue. When you defeat the acolytes, their turbans remain behind for a few moments before disappearing. Try to grab one of them before it fades away. Don't worry if you can't steal one right away; the acolytes will continue to respawn through the rest of the level.

Take the key and use it to turn the mechanism at the front and center of the ledge. This raises the torture/barbecue rack out of the floor, depositing another blue gear (2/3) near the mechanism. Pick it up and place it on one of the spokes to the right.

Fight the Thuggees and pick up one of the turbans the white-shirted acolytes drop.		Use the golden key to turn the mechanism, raising the rack out of the floor and dropping another blue gear.
Place this second gear in the machine on the right.

Now, if you haven't already done so, defeat another of the Thuggee acolytes and pick up his turban. While wearing a Thuggee turban, your character will be able to activate the Kali statue to the right of the doorways where the Thuggees emerge. Activating the statue causes it to sink into the floor, revealing a small platform. Step onto the platform and ride up to the ledge above, where you'll find another blue gear (3/3) in the back corner straight ahead. Pick it up, hop down to the floor and place the gear on the remaining spoke in the machine on the right.

Once all 3 gears have been attached, use Short Round to repair the machine. This moves the platform where the Maharajah is standing over the burner, causing him to snap out of the Black Sleep and ending the level.

While wearing a Thuggee turban, activate the Kali statue.		Then ride the lift up to the ledge above.
Pick up the third blue gear in the back corner of the ledge. . .		. . . hop down and attach it to the machine with the others.
Use Short Round's wrench to repair the machine and move the Maharajah's platform to the right.		The flames awaken him from the Black Sleep and the level ends.
