Crystal Skull Part 2 – Story Level 1: Peru Cell Perusal

LEVEL ENTRANCE: The sanitarium where Indy and Mutt hope to find Harold Oxley is located at the bottom of the airstrip. The entrance is in the back. So go into the alley with the market stalls at the left side of the airstrip, but instead of heading up the alley toward the white gate, go through the open gate and around to the lower right. The door with the red and yellow awning is where you're headed. (See the Hub Maps and Story Level Intro page for screenshots.)

Run-Down Sanitarium

Use Mutt to repair the generator, sending power along the wires to the barred door on the right. Then have one character grab onto the dangling chain to raise the bars. Switch to the other character, go through, and push the box along the checkerboard tiles to hold the bars open so the first character can get through. Continue to the right.

This corridor has two cells with inmates inside. One has a bottle, which he drops outside his cell and then snatches away when anyone approaches. You can ignore him since you don't need a bottle. The second inmate has a golden key, which you do need. To get it from him, stand off to either side of his door and wait for him to drop the key outside. Then use Indy's whip to target it and snap it up. Use it in the mechanism on the right to open the door to Oxley's cell.

Enter and smash the sink on the left wall to reveal a button. Pressing this button raises the stone column against the back wall. Have one character stand on the column while the other presses the button to raise him up. Jump over to the ledge on the left. Push the box of LEGO tiles along the checkerboard tiles and off the edge. Switch to the character down below and use the tiles to build part of a mosaic in the middle of the floor.

Use Indy's whip to grab the orange ring sitting on the windowsill above the bed. Attach the ring to the green plate on the wall. Then pull it to get another heap of tiles which you can then build onto the mosaic.

Jump on the bed to reach the studs up above. Then use the brown bits in the back right corner to build a handrail. Jump up to grab it. Jump and grab the next handrail to the right. When you do, the grate on the wall above opens and a third heap of tiles pops out.

If you haven't reached "True Adventurer" yet, there's a 10,000-point purple stud in the near right corner that will probably get you there. Be sure to pick it up before finishing the mosaic. When you do a cut scene begins and the level is over.
