Crystal Skull Part 3 – Bonus Level 1: Jungle Japes

LEVEL ENTRANCE: Once you've unlocked the Ugha Warrior (see the Characters page for details), climb the dangling rope on the cliff below the starting area and jump over to the ledge on the left. Throw a spear into each of the sockets flanking the doorway. Then hang on each spear to lower the spikes blocking the entrance. See the Hub Maps and Bonus Level Intro for details and screenshots.

Quicksand Pit at Base of Pyramid

Repair the checkerboard floor on the right side of the starting area, taking care not to accidentally step off into the pool of quicksand. Throw Spalko's sword at the cable on the left to lower the platform near the back wall. Then have Spalko jump up and push the box off the ledge onto the tiles below.

Switch to Indy and climb up onto the box. Whip swing across the quicksand using the orange rings. When you reach the other side, fight 2 Ugha warriors and an Ugha assassin with a blowgun. Then turn the crank at the top of the steps to raise a tall platform so Spalko can cross the quicksand.

Take the 2 spears sticking out of the ground and throw them into the sockets high on the back wall. Then have Spalko use the spears to jump across the quicksand to the next area to the right. (The first spear is too high for Indy to reach.)

Pick up the purple stud hidden behind the low wall near the crank. Then turn the crank to raise a platform so Indy can cross over.

Switch back to Indy and use his whip to swing over the next quicksand pit to the area on the far right. Pull the lever in the back right corner to activate 2 moving platforms. One goes from side to side above the quicksand. The other moves up and down. Switch to Spalko and jump across the quicksand using the side-to-side moving platform. This jump is a little difficult to gauge correctly. When standing on the left ledge, you want to jump from the spot just above the short ladder to land on the moving platform.

Then have Spalko jump from the low, mossy wall onto other moving platform as it comes down. (Indy can't jump far enough to reach it.) Ride the platform upward and jump onto the ledge with the 2 red buttons. Take a shovel from the box and hop down on the left side of the ledge. Dig up the sparkling patch of ground and use the LEGO bits you find to build a ladder.

Switch back to Indy again and return across the quicksand to the left. (Either whip swing or use the moving platform.) Now have both characters climb the ladder to reach the ledge with the buttons. Step on both buttons to reveal the Artifact.
