Temple of Doom – Treasure Level 5: Cliff Clamber

LEVEL ENTRANCE: Round up the Thuggee Acolyte and either the regular Thuggee or Pankot Assassin, since you'll need both spear and sword to beat this level. The entrance is the same as the 5th Story Level. Hop up onto the wooden platform near the collapsed bridge and follow the gold arrow to begin. (Again, refer to the Treasure Level Intro or Hub Maps for screenshots and the Characters page if you need help unlocking these characters.)

Deep Gorge

Although the level entrance is the same as the corresponding Story Level, the setting is totally new. Here you find yourself on a steep cliff above a river. If at any point you fall into the water, you can climb back out using the handrail to the left of the starting ledge. Just watch out for the crocodiles in the river. You may want to deal with them before starting out by throwing spears or swords at them.

While standing on the starting ledge, use the Thuggee Acolyte to throw spears into the 3 sockets on the wall to the right. Use the spears to jump across to the next ledge. Either jump directly to the upper ledge, drop down and get the studs and use the handrail to get back up; or jump onto the lower ledge, gather the studs and then climb the handrail to the ledge above.

From there, jump to grab the dangling rope on the right, swing and jump over to the next ledge. Smash the brown LEGO boulders in front of the ladder, but before climbing up, use the sword character to throw a blade at the cable above on the right to sever it and open the trapdoor at the top of the ladder.

Now climb the ladder, head to the left and double jump across the wide gap above the dangling rope to land on the wooden ledge. Smash the brown LEGO boulders. (You can't do anything about the silver boulders yet.) Continue to the left, across the gray-green platform onto the stone ledge beyond. Jump to the handrail, then to the next ledge on the left. Hop on top of the red plunger to blow up the silver boulders you just passed.

Use your sword to cut the cable that was previously hidden behind the silver boulders. This causes the gray-green platform to begin moving up and down. Ride it upward and jump off on the left.

The next ledge on the left moves in and out. So carefully jump onto it just as it extends and immediately jump to the next solid ledge before the moving ledge retracts.

Stand next to the blue box with the bundle of dynamite and wait for the retracting ledge on the right to begin to move into the wall. Quickly grab some dynamite from the box. By the time you take it and turn around, the ledge should have started to extend once more. Jump onto it and then to the solid ledge beyond. Now quickly aim and throw the dynamite at the silver boulders on the right. You'll need to move quickly so the dynamite doesn't explode while your character is holding it. If you fail the first time, just return to the blue box to get another bundle of dynamite and try again.

Once you've destroyed the silver boulders, switch to the Thuggee Acolyte if you aren't already controlling him. Jump over to the ledge on the right where the silver boulders were. Then continue to the right, across a series of ledges and 3 dangling ropes to the rightmost ledge, which is made of wood and has sockets and handrails above it. Throw spears into the sockets. Then climb the spears and handrails to the ledge above on the left.

Continue to the left across a long stone ledge above 2 of the dangling ropes. Double jump to clear the next gap and land on the ledge beyond. Throw spears into the 3 sockets above and use them to reach the wooden ledge above on the left. From there, throw a spear into the single socket attached to one of the wooden planks on the left. Jump to grab the spear and then jump down to the ledge with the Artifact but don't grab it yet!

If you're going for "True Adventurer," avoid the Artifact as you move to the left side of the ledge. Jump to grab the handrail off to the left. Jump up the handholds to the brown ledge above on the right. Avoid the gray trapdoor, which opens if you step on it, dropping your character back down to the ledge with the Artifact. Instead, jump over the trapdoor into a cluster of studs, which includes one purple stud.

Break up the LEGO boulders for more studs and then jump to grab the handrail on the right. Jump from there to the next ledge, where you'll find another purple stud along with some others. Now go just a little farther to the right. Jump across the next gap and pick up one last purple stud.

To get back to the Artifact either return to the left across the upper ledges and fall through the trapdoor or, from the ledge with the last purple stud, jump down to the ledge with the 3 spears, which is just below on the left. Then continue to the left the way you came the first time. Touch the Artifact to end the level.
