Temple of Doom – Treasure Level 1: Shang High

LEVEL ENTRANCE: The entrance to this level is the same as for the 1st Story Level: the garage in the right corner of the Shanghai neighborhood. Since this is a vehicle level, it doesn't matter which two characters you use. (See the Treasure Level Intro or Hub Maps for screenshots.)

Shanghai Streets at Night

This is another vehicle level similar to the ones you've played before. There are 2 cars like Short Round's near the entrance. You can complete the level using one of them, but you'll also find other vehicles around the level, more if you've unlocked them in the hub. Various vehicle powerups are available, along with stud caches and plenty of smashable objects.

As usual, the two main goals are to achieve "True Adventurer" status and to pop the 10 blue balloons by driving or jumping through them. A counter at the bottom right corner of the screen shows your progress. When you pop all 10 balloons, the Artifact appears in the middle of the platform with the 4 ramps.

Here is a list of all balloon locations. The screenshot version of this walkthrough may be more helpful if you're having trouble locating any of them.

• Balloon #1 - At the top of the wooden ledge with ramps just to the right of the level entrance.
• Balloon #2 - On another wooden ledge with ramps on the right side of the map. This ledge is between the low area on the far right and the next building to the left.
• Balloon #3 - Near the fountain in the front right corner of the level.
• Balloon #4 - On the wooden ledge with ramps just behind #3. There's a green jump boost below it in case you need one.
• Balloon #5 - In the middle of the level there's a large, low area with crates and market stalls. Streets run around all 4 sides of this low area. This balloon is hovering above a truck parked along the bottom edge. Use the wooden plank ramp propped against the truck to reach it.
• Balloon #6 - On the high wooden ledge to the right of Club Obi Wan. Drive up the ramp on the left side of the building to reach it.
• Balloon #7 - On the wooden ledge with the two ramps in the back left corner.
• Balloon #8 - In the midst of the market stalls set up in the street in front of balloon #7.
• Balloon #9 - To the left of the low area in the middle of the level is a parked truck with a balloon hovering above it. (Club Obi Wan is just ahead in the background.) Use the wooden ramp propped against the truck to reach the balloon.
• Balloon #10 - In the alley with the strings of orange lanterns on the far left side of the level.

No matter which balloon you pop last, the Artifact appears on the platform at the top of the four ramps in the low central square.
