LEVEL ENTRANCE: The Tomb Doom Story Level entrance in the cemetery also leads to this Treasure Level. In order to beat it, you'll need Oxley and either the Russian Officer or Russian Grenadier. (The Characters page, Hub Maps and Treasure Level Intro have details.)

Conquistadors' Tomb

Use the soldier's bazooka or grenades to blow up the crate sitting in the middle of the scorpion swarm and reveal the red button underneath. Ignore the button for now.

Move over to the right, where you can see the Artifact in an alcove high on the back wall. You'll need to extend the ladder next to it so you can climb up, but first take a few minutes to explore, smashing objects and gathering studs. There's a small alcove in the right wall that contains some high-value studs, including 2 purple studs, that should help you achieve "True Adventurer" pretty quickly. There are also some breakable objects on the left and some loose studs down in the pit.

Blow up the big crate near the entrance. . .		. . . to reveal a button. Ignore it for now.
First, gather studs, including several blue and purple ones in the alcove on the far right.

When you're ready to go after the Artifact, switch to Oxley if you aren't already controlling him. His Crystal Skull repels the scorpions so you can move freely. Now you must quickly step on each of the 4 buttons in turn so all are activated (green) at the same time. Here's the sequence:

Step on the button in the pit first since it stays green the longest. Then quickly climb the ladder and jump over to the ledge on the left. (If you're having trouble here, try climbing to the top of the ladder and jumping straight up to land on the black brackets at the top of the ladder. Then jump to the left.) Run and jump onto the second button in the near left corner. Hurry across the planks spanning the pit and run over the third button (i.e., the one that was hidden under the crate). Continue running and jumping down the steps to the right. Finally step on the fourth button in the near right corner. If you're fast enough, all 4 buttons will stay green at the same time. Then the ladder will unroll and you can climb up to retrieve the Artifact.

Step on the button down in the pit. Then quickly climb the ladder.		Jump over to the left and step on the button there. Then run across the planks to the right.
Step on the button that was under the crate and hurry on to the right.		Press the last button to extend the ladder so you can reach the Artifact.
