LEVEL ENTRANCE: When you finish the 3rd Story Level, Indy and Sallah appear on the desert island at the top of the hub map. Use Sallah's shovel to dig Colonel Vogel's tank out of the doorway where it's stuck. When it rolls free, the next level begins. (Check the Hub Maps and Story Level Intro if you need visuals.)

Desert Canyon

Welcome to another vehicle level. As in the previous ones, the enemy vehicles you must destroy have red triangles above them and round icons at the top of the screen representing them. When you eliminate each group, another appears to take its place. Wreck them all and the level ends. There are also various clusters of studs, lots of breakable objects and a few vehicle power-ups scattered throughout the area. Green orbs give your vehicle a jump boost. Orange ones give a speed boost. To use a power-up, drive through it and then press the button indicated on screen to activate the boost. Power-ups only last for a little while but reappear in the same locations each time.

Indy and Sallah begin near the top left corner of the map riding the horse and camel from the last cut scene. There are studs along the path leading down to the left and more studs on a little ledge just below the start. Grab them and continue down to the road below.

Your trusty steeds are cute but they're no use against the 2 enemy jeeps with mounted guns. So move close to one of the parked Jeeps and press Free Tag to take control of it. The LEGO boulders blocking the road at the bottom of the clearing prevent the enemies from doing anything but driving in circles. So they're not too hard to beat. Just crash into them several times until they explode.

Gather studs on the way down the hill from the start.

Switch to one of the parked Jeeps and use it to smash the 2 enemy Jeeps.

A brief cut scene then shows Colonel Vogel's tank blowing up the boulders blocking the road. Now you can drive down into the area below and take on the second wave of enemy vehicles: 2 more Jeeps with mounted guns and 3 trucks.

In order to destroy the enemy trucks, you'll need a truck of your own. So take control of one of the trucks with the white triangle icons above it. The enemies drive counter-clockwise around the loop, so if you drive clockwise and hit them head on, it won't take long to destroy them all.

At this point, Vogel uses his tank to blow up the second LEGO boulder barricade, so you can move farther down the hill.

Before driving through the gap, make sure you have all the studs in this area. Along with a few stud caches in the middle right and far left, there's a purple stud hovering just to the left of the center of this area. Drive up the sloped rock behind it, angling slightly to the left, to grab it out of the air. If you're having trouble doing this with the Jeep, switch back to the horse temporarily. It can jump very high, even without a boost. Or just turn on the "Stud Magnet" Extra if you've unlocked it.

Colonel Vogel uses his tank to blow up the boulders blocking the road.		Now you can drive down into the area below and take on the second group of enemies.
Grab the purple stud above the little stone ramp on the left.		Take control of one of the trucks with the white triangle icons.
Then drive clockwise around the loop smashing enemy vehicles head on.		When all the enemies are destroyed, Vogel blows up the second boulder barrier.

Now head down the hill into the open area below to take on the third wave of enemies: 3 Jeeps with mounted guns and 3 armored Jeeps. You can defeat them all using the truck. Again, it's fairly simple if you just drive around the loop clockwise. Then you can crash into the enemies head on as they move around in the opposite direction.

Again, you'll find several caches of studs, including one near the small wooden ramp beside the road at the upper left and another near the stone ramp with the speed boost at the lower left. There are also a bunch of smashable boulders, cacti and other plants. (You'll get the cluster of studs on the far right later from below.)

When you eliminate the 6 Jeeps, Vogel uses his tank to blow up the next boulder barrier, giving you access to the lowest part of the map.

Head down the hill into the next area.		Drive clockwise around the loop, smashing the armored Jeeps head on.
Grab the various stud clusters, including the one above the wooden ramp at the upper left. . .		. . . and the one near the stone ramp with the power boost at the lower left.
When you destroy all 6 enemies in this group, the Colonel blows up the third boulder barricade.

Drive down the hill and get ready for the fourth wave of enemies: 4 armored Jeeps. (You can't damage Vogel's tank yet. So just ignore him for now.) Like the previous group, you can defeat the armored Jeeps by hitting them several times with your truck. Head-on collisions do more damage, and you can also knock enemies off the cliffs on the bottom and left sides of this area. Just take care not to drive off the edge yourself.

Be sure to drive around and pick up the various clusters of studs. You may want to get out of your vehicle and collect the ones along the edge of the cliff on foot. Drive up the curvy road at the top right and across the angled rock to get the cluster of blue studs with the purple stud in the middle. Then make your way back to the left and down to the lower area.

Drive down the hill to the wide, flat area at the bottom of the map.		Hit the enemy vehicles head on as you did before, or nudge them off the cliff like so.
To get that lovely stud cluster you saw earlier, drive up the twisty road at the top right.		Then jump your vehicle off the angled rock, grabbing the blue and purple studs and landing back in the previous area.

When you destroy the 4 Jeeps, the final enemy vehicle, Colonel Vogel's tank, begins moving around the loop. In order to beat it, you'll need to take control of one of the mini-tanks. Drive along in front of Vogel's tank and press the Attack button to drop mines in his path. If the tank is close enough to the mine when it explodes, the tank will take one heart's worth of damage. Five successful hits and Vogel is defeated and the level ends.

To destroy Colonel Vogel's tank, first switch to one of the mini-tanks diving around this area.

Drive along in front of the big tank pressing Attack to drop mines in its path.
