Last Crusade – Bonus Level 1: Venice Library

LEVEL ENTRANCE: Once you've unlocked a character with the Academic ability, solve the hieroglyph puzzle on the dock at the top center of the Venice neighborhood to open the entrance to this level. (Check the Hub Maps or Bonus Level Intro if you need visuals.)

Underground Library

Smash the furniture and flowers near the start and collect some studs. Then use Brody to solve the hieroglyph puzzle at the top of the stairs to open one of the 2 gates off to the right.

Head to the right, gathering more studs as you go. Rebuild the 2 loose sections of checkerboard tile on the far right. Then push the brown box to the right end of the tiled strip.

Switch to Indy and use the box to reach the ledge above on the right. Move to the far end of this ledge and jump to grab the dangling rope. Swing and jump over to the ledge on the left. Whip the orange ring to open the second gate.

If you haven't already broken up all the furniture and the flowers in the various flower boxes and gathered any loose studs, do that now. Then climb one of the ladders and step on one of the 2 red buttons. In co-op mode, Player 2 should climb up and stand on the other button. If you're playing solo, the second character will do this automatically.

Depressing both buttons at the same time activates the moving platform between the ladders, turns on the laser beams around the tiled area with the 'X' in the middle of the floor, and causes the Artifact to appear there. To get it, along with the studs hovering above (including a 10,000-point purple stud), ride the moving platform upward, jump out toward the studs and then land on the Artifact to end the level.
